The New Orleans Office of Inspector General (OIG) is pleased to see the positive impact of actions taken by the City and New Orleans Police Department (NOPD) to improve the NOPD’s timekeeping and overtime practices and procedures. The NOPD’s overtime costs have dropped by more than 45% between the first half of 2025 and the first half of 2026.
