The New Orleans Office of Inspector General (OIG) released a report finding the Department of Public Works (DPW) lacked the staff and reliable data, operating procedures, and management programs needed to properly maintain the City’s traffic signals. The purpose of the OIG’s report was to determine whether the City conducted traffic signal maintenance in an efficient and effective manner and identify any obstacles to timely and effective maintenance.
