The New Orleans Office of Inspector General (OIG) issued a public letter to the Chief Administrative Officer and the City Attorney regarding the Law Department’s procurement of outside counsel. Evaluators found that the Law Department did not consistently adhere to best practices related to the procurement, payment, and evaluation of outside counsel.
